Welcome to the East Mountain Bakery, LLC, owned and operated by Julianna Farresta. This is a home-based bakery.

I love baking. This is a side-business for me, I have a full-time job as a Global Content Marketing Specialist for a technology company. So I bake in the evenings and weekends.

What does Home-based Bakery mean?
Home-based means I can sell direct to New Mexico residents, through direct orders, or set up a booth at events, farmers markets, etc. I can only sell products that can be stored at room temperature.

Although the rules for a home-based bakery are less stringent, I following all the food safe guidelines as a commercial bakery as close as possible. This includes:

Utilizing a 3 compartment dishwashing processing for washing, rinsing, and sanitizing.

The kitchen is cleaned and all surfaces sanitized before baking.

Separate refrigerator, freezer, and microwave just for the bakery

Separate baking prep area & storage area for dry ingredients

Separate cabinets for baking pans and utensils

Separate Hand washing sink/station for the bakery

I also have a professional baking certification with high honors, and ServeSafe training and certification
